How to Save, Split or Remove Selected PDF Pages
Splitting, extracting and removing pages solve different problems. Choose the operation that matches the PDF you want to keep.
Choose the right operation
Use Split PDF to divide a document into parts, by custom ranges or fixed page count. You can download separate files in a ZIP or combine selected ranges into one PDF.
Use Extract Pages when you want a new document containing only selected pages. Use Remove Pages when you want to retain the original sequence except for the pages you delete. At least one page must remain.
Enter a page range
Ranges such as 1-3, 5, 7-9 select consecutive and individual pages. Count from the PDF’s actual first page; printed page labels may differ from the page position. Thumbnail selection is helpful for recognizing covers or blank pages.
The range field also works for pages beyond the thumbnail gallery. Review the final selection before processing. In the split tool, leaving custom ranges blank saves each page separately.
Verify before sending
Download the result and check both the page count and the contents. In a ZIP, open the individual PDFs you plan to share. Keep a copy of the source PDF if another selection might be needed later.
These operations run locally. Selecting fewer pages can also reduce the amount of work needed for JPG export or OCR. Page removal is not a substitute for redaction when sensitive information appears on pages you keep.
